On the last Sunday of September, just as it has annually since 1926, the traditional Festa dell’Uva (Grape Festival) was held in the Chianti town of Impruneta close to Florence. The rioni (neighborhoods) in a contest of local creativity resulting in a processional display of decorated floats, dance and music in honor of the annual grape harvest.
